Rocket company SpaceX will relocate its headquarters from California to Starbase, Texas, CEO Elon Musk announced on Tuesday in a post on X.
Musk cited California’s new bill banning school transgender notification policies as a key reason for the move, referring to it as the “last straw.”
“Because of this law and the many others that preceded it, attacking both families and companies,” Musk stated in the post.
In February, Musk had already moved SpaceX’s incorporation from Delaware to Texas after a Delaware judge invalidated his $56-billion pay package from his electric vehicle company Tesla (NASDAQ).
